Buying quality LED Strip & LED Neon Flex lights.

Let's delve into our premium commercial-grade LED strip lighting. LED strip illumination has rapidly gained popularity in the lighting market, but unfortunately, it has been overshadowed by low-quality and inexpensive tape lights. During our tenure in the UK LED strip lighting market, we've received numerous inquiries about what sets our LED strips apart. A significant portion of our clientele seeks to replace their current strip lighting due to issues like failure within a year, decreased brightness, and voltage drop over long lengths. This is precisely where we offer a solution. We've dedicated considerable time, effort, and resources to ensure that we exclusively provide the highest-quality lighting available.

Key Considerations When Purchasing LED Strip Lights:

  1. PCB Thickness: The thickness of the printed circuit board (PCB) is a critical factor when selecting LED strips. It's imperative that the copper thickness is 3oz or more. Thicker copper facilitates efficient electricity flow through LED tape lights. Thin copper, often found in cheap knockoff strips, increases the risk of electrical resistance, heat buildup, voltage drop, reduced brightness, and premature LED failure.

  2. CRI (Colour Rendering Index): CRI plays a pivotal role in choosing lighting. It determines how accurately colors are represented in your space. If you're struggling to distinguish between navy and black clothing, your current lighting likely has a low CRI. CRI ratings range from 0 to 100, with 100 mimicking colors under direct sunlight. When purchasing LED strip lights, never settle for less than CRI 80. Our commercial-grade strip lighting boasts an impressive CRI range of 90 to 95, making it the best on the market.

  3. Mounting Options: We strongly recommend mounting LED strips in aluminum profiles to aid in heat dissipation.

  4. LEDs Per Metre: The number of LEDs per meter is crucial when buying LED tape. A higher LED count per meter reduces spotting. For lower wattage strip lights (e.g., 4.8W), aim for 60 LEDs/meter. As wattage increases, so should the LED count. Our high-end range offers options from 60 to 300 LEDs per meter.

  5. Warranty: Emphasizing the importance of warranty cannot be overstated. You're making an investment, and in case of any issues, you wouldn't want to incur additional expenses. Many eBay and Amazon purchases (though not all) do not come with warranties. At House of LEDs, we have full confidence in our product and are proud to offer an extended warranty of 1-year to 3 years for our standard range.
