Ceiling LED Lighting

Ceiling LED Lighting works two ways. Mounted at the perimeter and facing upward, it washes light across the ceiling and creates a soft indirect glow that makes rooms feel larger and warmer. Mounted on the surface and facing downward inside an alcove or recess, it works as focused task lighting above furniture or shelving.

Indirect (uplight) — Use a recessed aluminium profile or coving channel at the perimeter, facing upward. 24V COB LED Strip inside the profile gives a smooth uniform glow with no visible LED dots through the diffuser.

Direct (downlight) — Surface-mount profile with COB strip facing down — clean output, dimmable, ideal for alcoves and feature shelves.

IP rating? IP20 for dry rooms. IP65 for kitchens and bathrooms where steam is a factor.

Voltage? 24V DC for most installs. 48V for open-plan spaces over 20m — single driver, single run.

Best for: Living rooms, open-plan kitchens, commercial reception areas, hospitality.
Avoid if: You only need spot task lighting (use downlights instead).
