LED neon flex is a silicone-sleeved strip light that produces a continuous, dot-free light line along its full length. No visible diodes. No hotspots. It bends around curves and corners without cracking, runs indoors and outdoors, and covers lengths from 1 metre to 50 metres depending on voltage.
| Voltage | Max Single Run | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 12V | 5 metres | Sign lettering, cabinet edges, small feature lights |
| 24V | 20 metres | Room coves, stairwells, under-cabinet runs |
| 48V | 50 metres | Commercial shopfronts, perimeter outlines, hospitality |
| 220–240V AC | 50 metres | Mains-direct installs, large architectural runs |
Run length is the deciding factor. At 12V, voltage drop limits a safe run to 5 metres — push past that and the far end dims. 24V doubles the safe distance. Both 48V and 220–240V mains reach 50 metres in a single run, removing the need for mid-run power injection on large commercial jobs.
Our neon flex covers every environment:
The IP rating and voltage are what change between a domestic living room cove and a commercial restaurant facade. The product is the same.
Standard LED strips emit from individual diode points. At close range, you see a row of dots instead of a clean line. Neon flex houses the strip inside a soft silicone diffuser — light spreads evenly across the full profile, producing one continuous edge of colour.
This is the right product for:
Most profiles cut every 50mm. End caps, connectors, and mounting clips ship with every range — no soldering required for straight runs and standard joins. For complex layouts or project-based orders, contact us before ordering.
12V runs up to 5 metres, 24V up to 20 metres, and both 48V and 220–240V AC up to 50 metres from a single power supply.
Yes — choose IP67 for garden structures and pergolas, or IP68 for permanent outdoor installs and water features.
Yes. Select your length directly on the product page. If you cannot find what you need, call or email us and we will specify the right product and length for your project.
Neon flex diffuses light through a silicone sleeve, producing one clean continuous line. Regular LED strip shows individual diode dots at close range.

Yes. Each product has marked cut intervals, which vary by profile and voltage. House of LEDs can cut and seal the run before dispatch so you receive the closest valid length without compromising the circuit.
Use mounting clips for curved layouts or a matching aluminium channel for straight lines. Plan the cable route, driver location and bend direction before fixing the channel. Outdoor cut ends and joints must be sealed to the product's IP rating.
Top bend, also called vertical bend, curves up and down. Side bend, also called horizontal bend, curves left and right across a flat surface. Choose the bend plane that follows the shape of your installation.
House of LEDs recommends IP67 for permanent above-ground outdoor installations and IP68 where the product will be continuously submerged. IP65 is intended for splash-resistant indoor or sheltered use.
Use 12V for short runs, 24V for most room and garden projects, and 48V for extra-long runs where lower current reduces voltage drop. The exact maximum run depends on the profile and product specification.
Multiply the product wattage per metre by the total run length, then add 20 to 30 percent headroom. The driver's output voltage must exactly match the Neon Flex voltage.
