Cool White 6500K COB LED Strip 24V 10mm 480LEDs/m IP20 20m Run

The Cool White 6500K COB LED Strip gives a distinctly cool, high-contrast white for dry indoor technical and display lighting. It operates at 24V, draws 7.5W per metre and uses 480 COB LEDs/m. The 10mm strip produces 723 lumens per metre, cuts every 50mm and supports a continuous run up to 20 metres.

The closely packed COB chips are covered by a continuous phosphor layer to form a smooth line of light. This is an ATOM LED branded product sold by House of LEDs. Its published specification includes CRI >90 and an up-to-seven-year warranty.

Cut and made to measure: We cut and prepare this COB LED strip to suit your specific requirements. Finished lengths must follow the strip’s stated cut-point interval, so a requested length may be adjusted to the nearest valid cut point. The stated maximum continuous run still applies; longer installations must be planned as separate runs with suitable power feeds.

What is 6500K cool white suitable for?

6500K has the coolest appearance in this range, with a blue-leaning white that creates strong visual contrast. Choose it for inspection areas, work benches, garages, utility rooms, stock rooms and selected retail displays where a cool task-lighting effect is intentional. It will look noticeably colder beside 2700K or 3000K lamps, so check neighbouring light sources before specifying it.

The IP20 rating means dry interiors only. Do not use this tape outdoors, in wet areas or where moisture, spray or steam may reach it. Review warmer white options and protected products in our COB LED strip collection.

How much driver capacity is needed?

Use a constant-voltage 24V driver sized from the strip's 7.5W/m load, then include 25% headroom. The calculated strip load is 37.5W at 5m, 75W at 10m and 150W at 20m. Select a suitable power supply from the LED driver range. Never connect 24V strip directly to mains electricity.

Cutting, mounting and profiles

Cut only through the marked copper pads at 50mm intervals. Fully unwind the tape before testing it, and apply the self-adhesive backing to a clean, dry surface. For an orderly installation, use an aluminium profile whose internal channel accommodates a 10mm strip.

Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are normally despatched the same working day when stock is available and no additional cutting or preparation time is required. Timed services exclude weekends and Bank Holidays unless Saturday delivery is selected. International orders use a tracked service; the available rate is calculated at checkout.

Returns

Unused standard stock items may be returned within 15 days in their original, undamaged condition and packaging. Contact us before sending a return so the correct return route can be confirmed.

Made-to-measure, cut, mixed or otherwise personalised products cannot be cancelled or returned once preparation has started unless they are faulty. Full unused rolls and unused accessories, power supplies, controllers, drivers and profiles may be eligible for return. Modifying a product can invalidate its warranty, including removing the fitted plug from 220V/240V strip or neon flex.
