Under Shelf SCOB LED Strip | Green 272 LEDs/m 10mm 24V IP20

Green under shelf lighting works when you want colour, not brightness. This single-colour SCOB strip holds one fixed green at 9 W/m, so there is nothing to programme and no drift in tone between shelves. At 272 LEDs/m it reads as a dot-free line, not a row of points.

Cut to order from 1 to 10 metres in one unbroken run. The strip is 10mm wide, runs on 24V DC and is rated IP20 — it hides under a floating shelf, but dry indoor rooms only.

Where does green shelf lighting actually look right?

Green suits shelving meant to be looked at rather than read by. It carries display shelves holding glassware, plants or vinyl, studio and gaming shelving where the back wall becomes part of the scene, and retail display shelving built around one colour identity. It is a poor choice above a bookshelf you actually read from.

• Display shelving: 9 W/m of green washes the wall behind glass or ceramics instead of lighting objects flatly.
• Studio and alcove shelving: at 10mm it vanishes against the shelf underside, so the camera sees light, not hardware.
• Retail display shelving: one fixed colour across every shelving unit leaves staff nothing to reset.

Does this green strip need a controller?

No. Fixed green is a single-channel strip, so it needs a 24V constant-voltage driver and nothing more. Only colour-changing tape requires a dedicated controller, and that controller replaces a wall dimmer rather than sitting behind one. Size the driver roughly 20% above total load before you order.

Four metres draws 36 W, so a driver rated 44 W or higher gives the headroom. Match wattage to run length across our 24V constant-voltage drivers.

How do I size and cut it to a shelf?

Measure the shelf underside, then round down to the nearest 29.4mm cut interval. A 1,200mm shelf takes 40 segments, giving 1,176mm of strip and a 24mm shadow gap at one end. Order the full metreage as a single length wherever the shelving allows, because every join is another failure point.

1. Unroll the reel completely before testing, and never power the strip while it is coiled.
2. Cut only on the marked copper pads at each 29.4mm interval, keeping the blade square so both pads stay usable.
3. Fit it into an aluminium profile, and never bond it to bare metal shelving without an insulating layer.

Returns

Unused standard stock items may be returned within 15 days in their original, undamaged condition and packaging. Contact us before sending a return so the correct return route can be confirmed.

Made-to-measure, cut, mixed or otherwise personalised products cannot be cancelled or returned once preparation has started unless they are faulty. Full unused rolls and unused accessories, power supplies, controllers, drivers and profiles may be eligible for return. Modifying a product can invalidate its warranty, including removing the fitted plug from 220V/240V strip or neon flex.
